Welcome to the Jaybowl
Located on the first floor of the Kansas Union, the Jaybowl is the place you need to unwind after hitting the books. Whether you need a break from studying, or you just need a place to kick back and hang with your friends, the Jaybowl is the perfect place to go. Bowling is a fun-filled sport that anyone, of any skill level, can enjoy.
Not feeling up to the kegling challenge? The Jaybowl also offers billards and ping pong. For those who want to test out their moves, you can jump onto our Dance, Dance Revolution machine and show everyone how you groove.
Whatever your involvement, the Jaybowl is the place for you to get away from the pressures of daily life, relax, unwind and have a great time with friends.
Intercollegiate Bowling
The Jaybowl is the official sponsor of the KU men's and women's bowling teams. The teams represent KU in both regional and national competitions. The teams are selected in September after a series of qualifying matches.
The KU Bowling Team's goal is to perform to its highest potential. Team members accomplish this, at an individual and team level, by practicing, participation in workshops and analyzing personal bowling technique on video tape. In addition to the physical side of bowling, team members concentrate on the intricacies of bowling, the mental game and team work.
Men's average scores usually range from 180 to 210, and women's scores from 170 to 200.
